Key Outcomes

Significant upgrade to this NGO’s website overhauling not only the theme but numerous other features and functionality including: adding a lot of new content, complex stylization changes, controls to manage content downloads, custom post types to handle better representation of their key projects, multi-language site supporting English and Khmer (Cambodian national language), etc. A few years later I helped migrate this customer to Office 365, implementation & training of Microsoft Teams & Microsoft SharePoint. I provide hosting services for this client and a full Website Care Plan.

Project Details

Children in Families was my first major client in Cambodia. This “Website Upgrade Project” has grown to encompass three websites – one of which is an eLearning site (Learning Management System).

To provide my customer with the best hosting possible I use a custom hosting solution so this customer can size rapidly as required (primarily for their eLearning website).

The initial challenge when building this site was to ensure it could support multiple languages (English and Khmer). The site was launched in 2018 with both languages but in late 2020 the Khmer language pages were hidden because there was no one at CIF who could help to maintain the content in Khmer.

The NGO’s email was based on SMTP and hosted on BlueHost. In early 2021 the organization implemented Office 365 and I was responsible for creating all of the user accounts, migrating all email accounts (30) from SMTP to Office 365, training staff on Office 365, implementing Teams and providing documentation on Office 365 – both user guides and administration guides.
